Itinerary Overview

Land in Sri Lanka and check in to your accommodation in Colombo, the gateway to a journey rooted in heritage.

Travel to Kandy, where you’ll visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, followed by a graceful cultural dance performance. Overnight in Kandy.

 Journey to the rural region of Mahiyanganaya for a day filled with village life:

  • Learn the ancient art of clay pottery making
  • Experience traditional ‘Pan’ weaving inside a village home
  • Relish an authentic rice and curry lunch
  • Trek to the secluded twin waterfalls – Rathna Ella and Kaluwa Wetuna Ella

 Immerse yourself in the indigenous lifestyle of the Veddha community:

  • Take a bush walk through the jungle with tribal leaders
  • Visit ancient caves and sacred hunting grounds
  • Learn their songs, stories, and traditions
  • End the evening with a BBQ dinner, roaring campfire, and traditional Veddha dance performance

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the Gal Oya wilderness, followed by an afternoon jeep safari through the Gal Oya National Park, known for elephant sightings near water.

Join the Gal Oya Vedda chief for a guided walk through ancestral jungles, where you'll uncover folklore, ancient rituals, and forgotten trails. An incredibly rare cultural immersion.

In the morning, embark on a tranquil boat safari across Senanayake Samudraya, Sri Lanka’s largest reservoir. In the evening, participate in an interactive cooking experience with a local family, complete with a shared dinner.

Hike to Little Adam’s Peak, then visit the Nine Arches Bridge, a masterpiece of colonial engineering. Afterwards, transfer to the coastal town of Weligama.
